Intimate and Iconic: A New Year's Elopement in Washington DC | DMV Wedding Photographer
There’s something undeniably romantic about an elopement in Washington, D.C. The city’s blend of historic monuments, charming parks, and urban sophistication creates the perfect setting for a private and meaningful celebration of love. Recently, I had the privilege of capturing a corine and justin’s elopement in our nation’s capital, and it was a day filled with intimate moments, iconic locations, and unforgettable memories.
i absolutely adore WASHINGTON dc! having grown up in the northern virginia and dc area myself, it was such a joy being invited up to work with corine and justin for their special day. For their ceremony, the couple chose a spot RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE KING STREET COURT HOUSE DOWNTOWN ALEXANDRIA. having been right in the holiday season, we were surrounded by beautiful christmas bows, lights and joyful laughs in the distance.
after the ceremony, we made the drive into dc and SPENT TIME AROUND THE STEPS OF THE LINCOLN MEMORIAL. THE LINCOLN MEMORIAL area is one of the most picturesque places in D.C., offering serene views of the water and the NATIONAL MALL, IT WAS THE PERFECT SETTING TO CAPTURE JUSTIN AND CORINE’S COUPLES PORTRAITS.
from there we went to the national gallery of art where corine’s minimalist gown, and the justin’s classic tailored suit, fit seamlessly into the contemporary elegance of the space. the gallery's stunning atrium, the light streaming in through the glass ceiling highlighted their smiles, making every moment feel like it was straight out of a classic romance.
